This Privacy Policy describes how True Platform Pty Ltd, trading as Expertli  (ABN 57 644 796 510) (we, us, or our) and our subsidiaries and related bodies corporate will collect, use, and share your personal information, as well as your choices and rights with respect to your personal data. When we say ‘personal data’ we mean reasonably identifiable information about you, like your name, email, address, telephone number, bank account details, payment information, support queries, community comments and so on, whether or not the information or opinion is true and whether or not the information is recorded in a material form. We may need to update this notice from time to time. Where a change is significant, we’ll make sure we let you know – usually by sending you an email

Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to information that relates to you as an identifiable individual (often referred to as “personal information” or “personal data”) that Expertli receives or collects when you interact with us or our services, website, and software (the “Services”). This Privacy Policy does not apply to any third-party services, websites, or software, such as third-party applications that may be integrated into our Services via API. Those services, websites, and software are subject to their own terms and privacy policies, and you should read those carefully.

Who are ‘we’?

Expertli is a trading name for True Platform Pty Ltd. When we refer to ‘Expertli’, ‘we’ (or ‘our’ or ‘us’), that means True Platform Pty Ltd. We provide an easy-to-use online platform for Expertli users (businesses) to serve their customers (individuals or businesses). We are headquartered in Australia and make our platform available to Expertli users in many countries around the world. Types of personal information we collect and hold

We collect and hold personal information about individuals for the provision of our products and services (including our websites and other online platforms and services) and purposes connected to those products and services.Consistent with the provision of our products and services, the types of personal information we may collect, and hold includes:

Identity and contact details – including individuals’ name, address, telephone number, email address and other documentation that relates to your identity, such as your drivers’ licence, passport or other national identity documentation details;

Video images and metadata – visual images, including of individuals (including their faces) as well as other related metadata (such as time, location, and other settings) that is derived from, and/or associated with, use of, our websites, platforms and products and services;

Profile data – profile information, usernames, passwords and preference data, and related information; and

Payment details – information associated with payment and card details, (please note payment transactions are processed by an authorised third party and are encrypted by the acquiring bank so we will not retain any payment card details); and

Other information – text of communications gathered in the course of our interaction with you, including where you comment within our platforms and/or otherwise interact on live-chat, datasets generated by consent-enabled recordings on our platform, social media and emails, and other information from your interactions with us online, including cookie information, security tokens, IP address, URLs, search histories and other associated information.

How we collect your data

When you visit our websites or use our services, we collect personal data. The ways we collect it can be broadly categorised into the following: We may collect personal information directly from you in the course of providing our products and services, including correspondence, from our websites and other online platforms, from media and publications, mailing lists, marketing, consent-enabled recordings on our platform, events, and/or directly from you, including using cookies (data files placed on your device or computer), log files and security tokens. 

Personal information is held securely, is subject to various security protections and is held only for as long as the information remains relevant to the purpose for which it was collected.

How we use your data

We will not use or disclose personal information for any secondary purpose, unless that secondary purpose is related to the primary purpose for which we have collected that information, and you would reasonably expect the disclosure in the circumstances, or unless you consent to that use or disclosure.

We may also use your information in the following ways:
- to provide and maintain our Services;
- to analyse and improve our Services;
- to keep our Services secure and protect against fraud, abuse, and intrusion;
- to provide user support, information, and services requested by you;
- to send important account or security notifications;
- to promote our Services in accordance with applicable laws and regulations;
- to comply with our legal obligations, including responding to a court order or other valid legal process; and
-for other purposes with your consent.

How we can share your data

Your rights

It’s your personal data and you have certain rights relating to it. When it comes to marketing communications, you can ask us not to send you these at any time – just follow the unsubscribe instructions contained in the marketing communication, or make your request to our support team. 

You also have rights to:
- know what personal data we hold about you, and to make sure it’s correct and up to date;
- request a copy of your personal data, or ask us to restrict processing your personal data or delete it; and
- object to our continued processing of your personal data.

You can exercise these rights at any time by making a request to our support team.

We will take all reasonable steps to ensure any personal data we collect, use or disclose is up to date and accurate.  If you believe personal information that we hold about you is not up to date or accurate, you may ask us to correct it.You may ask us to provide you with details of the personal information we hold about you, and copies of that information.  We will respond to your request and attempt to provide you with the data within 30 days of receipt of your request.

If we provide you with copies of the information you have requested, to the extent permitted by law, we may charge you a reasonable fee to cover the administrative costs of providing you with that information.

If you’re not happy with how we are processing your personal data, please let us know by getting in touch with us. We will review and investigate your complaint, and try to get back to you within a reasonable time frame. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. They will be able to advise you how to submit a complaint.

Complaints

If you consider a breach of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) has occurred, you may direct your query to our Privacy Officer using the details set out below and we will attempt to resolve your complaint.
